Elizabeth (Dec. ) Johanson (Coleman*)

Elizabeth Anne Coleman, 44, of Seattle died at her home following a lengthy illness.

She was born July 9, 1949, in Seattle to Arthur and Farielle Welfare Johanson. She was raised and educated on Bainbridge Island and graduated from Holy Name Academy in Seattle. She attended college in Spokane where she majored in physical therapy. She graduated from the University of St. Louis in St. Louis, Mo., with a bachelor's degree in physical therapy.

She worked as a physical therapist at the Veterans Administration Hospital in Tacoma.

On June 9, 1972, she married Henry Coleman. They lived in Tacoma for a brief time before moving to Seattle, where she worked at West Seattle General Hospital for several years as a physical therapist.

Mrs. Coleman was an active member of West Seattle Church of Christ and T.O.P.S. She enjoyed bowling on several leagues before failing health curtailed the activity.

Survivors include her husband, Henry; two sons, Kenneth and Anthony, both of Seattle; two brothers, James Johanson of Honolulu, Hawaii, and Don Johanson of Bainbridge Island; four sisters, Wilma Johanson, Sally La Grandeur and Suzy Claflin, all of Bainbridge Island, and Peggy Johanson of Seattle; and a dear friend, Edna Wrenchey of Seattle.

Interment in the family plot in Port Blakely Cemetery on Bainbridge Island.
