Mark was a great friend in high school and later years. A man of deep faith and kindness. He launched out of the starting blocks in business right after high school. We lost touch for a number of years and then reunited when we both ended up living near downtown Kirkland. By that time, Mark had contracted Parkinson's and was valiantly working to maintain his independence. Mark was always positive and full of hope. He trusted Jesus until his last breath. I think he struggled with his disease for over 20 years and it was cruel to him. The last time I saw Mark was at his niece's wedding. He was just as positive as ever but he was hurting. Though he has been gone for around 10 years now I look forward to the day I see his beaming smile when we see each other again in heaven. Thanks for giving so much to all of us Mark.
