Update from a classmate: Sharon Kline Griffin and Ken Griffin (divorced) had two daughters and a son. Amanda, Megan and Ryan. Tragically Megan and Ryan passed away prior to the passing of Sharon and Ken. Their surviving daughter, Amanda, (year 2000 graduate from HS) has done amazing facing the loss of her entire family. She is happily married and she and her husband are very happy parents of a young daughter. Amanda was so happy to have both her parents recognized at the reunion. She’s a strong and special wife, mom and survivor. They would have been so proud of her.

When Sharon and Ken's daughter, Megan, was tragically killed in a car accident, I had a chance to work with her. When I walked into her home, she looked at me and said, "You are the string bean on the trampoline!" Over the years, we had many opportunities to talk. Health issues made it difficult for Sharon to get out and see people. She was a special woman, who would be proud of her daughter and would have loved to hold her granddaughter.
