A very good friend, I went to Butler Jr. with him , too. He had one of the greatest senses of humor of anyone I've ever met! Does anyone know when he passed and the circumstances? R.I.P, old buddy.

Mike Lynn "Buggs" Burns was a guy with wit, and wisdom beyond his years. He was also my closest friend, cohurt, and all around full of bull. I lost track of him when college moved us apart, but over the years I always had a connection with him, I suppose in part, because I named my oldest boy after him. And I was blessed again when my youngest son turned out to be all most spooky at times in the way his personality reflects my friend Buggs. I love you man. See ya soon... Jim

Mike Burns and his 4 brothers (Lyal, Bill, Pat and Shanon) were our neighbors. Mike and I went to school together Kindergarden (Miss. Eykelbosch was the teacher), Ronald Elementary, Buttler Jr. High and  Shoreline HS.  His Father, John Burns, had been a Marine on Iwo Jima and mother was about 5 ft 1 inch tall named "Pinky".  She could really rule those 5 boys as John was in sales and would be away some.  Lyal, Bill, Mike and Shanon all went into the Marines after Shoreline and Pat was Psycologist in the Air Force after WSU.  Mike is the first of the Burns Boys I am aware of passing - many memories.

I remember Mike as an always upbeat happy go lucky guy who yes in full agreement with Jim could & did sling the malarkey around.I would see his absolutely wonderfull Mom Pinky often as we both worked at Klopfensteins at Northgate from 1968 to 1972.She & her husband were a terrific outgoing  couple who were always happy & smiling. The apple certainly didnt fall far from the trees where Mikes personality was concerned.Great guy & story teller !
