Comments:

After high school, I went to WWU. I took lots of French and German classes, but didn't know what I wanted to do with my life. I took a break from school and ended up working at a kayak manufacturer in Ferndale. I worked my way up from production to sales and marketing. It was a great experience, but when I was laid off I knew it was time to go back to school. I earned a BA in General Studies, then a Master of Acupuncture degree at NIAOM (a school in Seattle). Acupuncture? I never would have guessed, either! I really enjoy my work.

I met my husband during my first trip to Europe (he's Dutch). We've been happily married for 13 years. He's kind, goofy, loves music/guitars/amplifiers, will use any available solid surface as a drum, and (mostly) keeps me from taking myself too seriously. We try to visit his Mom and brothers in the Netherlands every couple of years. We enjoy traveling, having friends and family over for dinner, hiking . . . the list goes on. Life is good.
