Judy Lynn Hudson was born on Aug, 15, 1957 in Everett, Washington, to Darrell Dean and Lenora Ann (Davidson) Hudson. Judy passed away Nov. 27, 2015 in Anchorage.
Judy is survived by her daughter, Erica Ferguson, and grandson Aaron Alders, of Anchorage, and her husband, Brian Eiden, of Fairbanks; her mother, Lenora Hudson, of Rapid City, South Dakota; her two sisters, Shelly (Warren) Holden, of Mount Vernon, Washington, and Frances (Michael) Beranbaum, of Snohomish, Washington; aunts, uncles, and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
She is preceded in death by her father, Darrell Hudson, and her sister, Theresa, as well as beloved grandparents, Ben and Edna Hudson, uncle Duane and aunt Carol Hudson, aunt June Hudson, aunt Mary Anne Hudson, great-aunt Frances Clifford, and aunt Nettie Quinn.
Judy moved to Skagit County, Washington, in 1963 where she attended and graduated from Sedro Woolley High School. She married Charles Johns, and they had a daughter, Erica. In the mid '90s they moved to Fairbanks where Judy married Brian Eiden. While in Alaska, Judy attended University of Alaska and earned a degree in accounting. She worked for the Alaska DOT at the Fairbanks International Airport for the last 10 years. She was looking forward to retiring and moving back to the Pacific Northwest in the next couple of years.
Judy loved animals; she always had dogs and cats that went everywhere with her. They always got a treat at the Hayes gas station and the bank.
Judy also loved the great outdoors. She swam in the lakes, creeks, bays and the ocean. She took long walks and many hikes up Big Rock. She also went on bike rides with her friend, Eileen Gribble.
She enjoyed snow skiing, and for years she went every weekend.
She looked forward to family gatherings, and Judy always kept in close contact with her good friends here in the valley. She will also be missed by many friends from work in Fairbanks and North Pole.
Judy was loved by many, and she is greatly missed. We are comforted by the knowledge that she is at peace with God and enjoying the company of her loved ones in heaven.
Internment will be at 10 a.m. March 26 at Union Cemetery, on Wicker Road in Sedro Woolley, Washington. Funeral service is scheduled for 1 p.m. March 26 at First Evangelical Lutheran Church, 2015 E. Blackburn, followed by a gathering at 3 p.m. at Park Village, 2725 E. Fir, in Mount Vernon, Washington.
