Barbara Snell Hernandez, 57, flew with the angels on June 16, 2015 at her home with her family in Sedro-Woolley. Barb was born in Sedro-Woolley to Richard and Shirley Snell on July 19, 1957. She attended Sedro Woolley High School with her classmates of 1976 and went to beauty school in Mount Vernon. She worked at Thrifty Foods in Burlington as a cashier/box clerk until she moved to the new opening of the Sedro-Woolley store where she became the assistant manager of the video department. She then went to the Sedro-Woolley True Value store as a cashier until 2005 when she had to have heart surgery. In 2013 she was diagnosed with lung cancer which was operable, it went into remission. Then in 2014 the cancer returned spreading into brain cancer which took her life.Barb had the strength of a fighter and a pure heart of gold. She stayed positive and fought hard until the very end. She loved spending time with her grandchildren down at the river. She also loved spoiling her dog Roxy, who became her loyal companion. Her presence was always know when she walked into a room, with a beautiful smile on her face that warmed everyone's heart. Her favorite saying was, "Be like a sea turtle and go with the flow." She always wanted happiness for everyone. She was preceded in death by her parents Richard and Shirley Snell and brother Wesley Snell.She is survived by her daughter Trisha Garcia; grandchildren Teresa, Miguel, Tori and Richie; sister Patty; brother in-law Bill; brother Rod; sister in-law Betty; nieces Patrice, Kelsey and Whitney; nephews Ross and Wesley. Numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
