Kenny Lane was a long ago friend of mine. Circa 1967-69. I liked him very much. We played Summer Catholic Youth Baseball together in Centereach, Selden, Lake Grove, NY. I am saddened to hear this. To me Kenny will be the vibrant and affable first baseman for the Assumption Church Baseball team and my team mate. I recall vividly that our Coach, Mr Keller would pick some of us up in his car to get us to Baseball games. We had to go a little out of our way to pick Kenny up, in Lake Grove. Kenny would always roll his eyes when the radio played the Beatles and they would sing Penny Lane. Kenny knew that the 2 or 3 others of us in the car would purposely sing out Kenny Lane at the appropriate time. He was a good sport about it. I would think he remained a good sport throughout life. RIP, Kenny.
Kanny Lane, an affable person with that great smile. Prayers and condolences to your family. You left us to soon. Rest in peace and may the Lord look after you.
