June A. Kirksey died March 10, 1988 at his home. Born in Pickens County, SC, he was a son of Ms. Ruby Mae Kirksey of Greenville, SC. June, often known as Sammy Gantt, Jr., was reared by the late Sam, Sr. and Mary Oglesby Gantt. He was an employee of Clemson University Janitorial Department and the J.P. Stevens Co. Clemson Plant. Surviving are Mother; four children, Brian, Dawn Elisha, Tammy, and June Aaron; sister, Mrs. Mary Helen Davis of Texas; brother, Tommy Kirksey of Greenville; Grandmother, Mrs. Ruth Wiley of Toccoa, Georgia.
