I always liked Eddie as he was just a good ole common folk like many of us. His untimely death was shocking to the entire school. He is missed.James "Scott" White (1982)
Eddie was a good friend of mine. I like many others did not know what he was going through.I wish he had reached out. bt we can remember all the good times. He was a good guy.Tomasina Sharly McQueen (Williams) (1983)
Eddie was my bus driver. I can remember clearly the afternoon that he drove us home on bus 6. He was a senior and didn't have many months to go before graduating in 1982. News traveled very quickly about the tragedy with shock and disbelief because it had been less than 2 hours since I stepped off the bus. Eddie was a good bus driver, friend and football player.Terri Robinson (Coker) (1982)
Eddie was one of my best friends, so it truly saddens me that I and his other closest friends did not know what he was going through. I still think of Eddie often and my memories of him are of a loving, caring guy.Robin Hardin (Metler) (1982)
Eddie was a great friend of mine, too. We had a ball during Powder Puff football--and he even helped the girl's softball team out. He was a friend to everybody. I'll never forget that day. I can remember my dad choking up as he told me what had happened. Hate that I wasn't a better friend.Sheri Ellen (Marcus) (1984)
I was telling my husband last night what had happened to Eddie. It is still hard to believe to this day the situation. One of Brad's co-workers dido because he was ashamed of something he did. So Sad!! If he only knew that everyone would still love him and that we all make stupid mistakes!!Kelly Elizabeth Ocheltree (Scroggins) (1983)
I will never ever forget that horrible day when you left us, Eddie. Little did I know that living through that experience would help me when I experienced another similar senseless tragedy in 1992. You were such a "big" boy that I guess I never realized how much you were hurting inside. I wish I would have known. RIP my friend.Laura Ihle-Buchanan (Ihle-Buchanan) (1982)
I remember all the great times we had in school. You were a great friend and I was honored that you chose me to sponsor you our senior year. I do miss you.
Billy Morgan (1982)
