Dr. Mark Harold Staples 1963 ~ 2008

Dr. Mark Harold Staples passed away July 25, 2008.Mark was born November 22, 1963 in Kaysville, Utah. He attended Davis High School and served an LDS mission to Seoul, Korea. Mark graduated with a Bachelor's Degree in Zoology from BYU. He received a medical degree from Tufts University School of Medicine and completed his residency in anesthesia from the University of Utah.

Mark married his sweetheart, Dona L. Newman, in the Idaho Falls Temple and went on to have five wonderful children. Mark's children wanted all to know that he sacrificed his all to be with them. He would rather be with his children than anywhere else. Mark gave his children the world as they conquered mountains by skiing, bicycling, hiking and backpacking. Mark included his children in all his adventures and shared his love of life with them.

Mark is survived by his wife, Dona; children: Kiley, Sydney, Maxwell Mark, Courtney and Piper; parents, Edith (Ford) Wilson and Harold W. (Audrey) Staples; and sister, Michelle (Scott) Loughton.

Daddy, goodbye for now. We will miss you. Watch over us as we grow. We will continue to climb those mountains to be near you. Funeral services will be held Friday, August 1st, 2008 at 12 noon at the LDS Stake Center, 2330 Monitor Drive, Park City, Utah. Viewing for friends will be held Thursday evening from 7-8:30 p.m. at the LDS Stake Center, 2330 Monitor Drive in Park City and again from 10:30- 11:30 a.m. on Friday, August 1st. Funeral arrangements directed by Goff Mortuary.
