Obituary for Kimberly McCorkle Adams

Kimberly McCorkle Adams, age 49, of Jasper, Mo. passed away at 4:25 p.m. Monday, January 24, 2011 surrounded by her family. Kimberly was born June 4, 1961 in Carthage, Mo. and had lived in Jasper the last 30 years. She was a High School graduate of the American School of Kuwait, and a 1985 graduate of Mo. Southern State College in Joplin with a Bachelor Degree in Science and an Associates Degree in Nursing. Kimberly was a Registered Nurse and served as a School Nurse with the Jasper School District for the last 13 years. She had previously been employed with St. John’s Regional Medical Center for 13 years. Kimberly loved the outdoors, hiking, camping, and canoeing with her family. Kimberly married Dale G. Adams December 18, 1981 in Jasper, Mo. and he survives. Additional survivors include four sons, Taylor Adams and wife Karissa, Webb City, Mo., Clayton Adams, and Jordan Adams of the Home, and Coltin Adams and wife Alexandria of Jasper, her parents, Jim and Marie McCorkle, Jasper, Mo., two grandchildren, Keaton Andrew Adams, and Lilliann Renee Adams, and her in laws, Allan and Joyce Adams, Jasper. She was preceded in death by a brother, Douglas McCorkle in 1986. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Wednesday at the Mason-Woodard Chapel in Joplin. Following cremation private burial will be in the Park Cemetery in Carthage. Memorial contributions are requested to the Healthwell Foundation in care of the Mortuary. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Mason-Woodard Mortuary of Joplin, Mo.
