I will always remember Patty as a sweet girl who made me feel very welcome to QV as a new 9th grader coming in from St. James. I was very sorry to hear about her passing. She was a brilliant girl and would have done wonders in the pharmaceutical world.
Patty and I spent a lot of time together...from elementary school where we would have really good lunches at her house, to highschool where we always competed for that first flute seat. Patty always made me do my best and I think that value has been a major thread that has brought me to this very day. She was a great person, friend, and inspiration.
My folks just found my 1977 QVHS yearbook and I came across a note Patty wrote in the back cover. It made me smile, remembering what a good friend she was, and naturally saddened me to think that her time her was cut short. She signed off her note "R.M.A", and of that she can be sure -- we will always remember her.
