In Memory

Cheryl B Deutsch

We are saddened to share with you the passing of our classmate and friend, Cheryl Deutsch, on May 21, 2023, from complications of Alzheimer's disease. She is survived  by her brother, Barry Deutsch, two cousins, and many close friends. During her career, Cheryl was a broadcast journalist, an investigative reporter serving  as a press liaison for various organizations, while free-lancing for local magazines. Cheryl was an intelligent woman, kind, adventurous and a very good friend. She will be missed by all who knew her.

                                                                                                                          May she rest in peace.

I only saw Cheryl once after hs, and that was at one of our reunions.  I didn't recognize her, but once she told me who she was I enjoyed chatting with the funny, bright person I had known years before.  We talked several times after that, and then we lost touch.  In my mind I can see the teenage Cheryl laughing at one of her own jokes.  So sad to hear of her death.  May her memory be for a blessing, and may she rest in peace.

I knew Cheryl but not well.  I wish I had known about Cheryl's career.  The community of broadcasres is relativly small.  Does anyone know where she did her on-air work.

I had much fun with Cheryl over the years. From our long drives up Shaker Blvd. during High school chasing flying saucers, she was always sure she saw one. We lost touch for awhile after HS but got together again when she moved to Baltimore. She was smart, talented, funny and erratic. We went to the beach, long walks in Fells Point andother adventures for years. Cheryl came late for Thanksgiving dinner every year for years and stayed 4 or 5 days to eat the leftovers and watch late night cable programs. Her well trained dogs were welcome. My son thought she only ate at Thanksgiving as she ate so much when she was here.

We fell out finally but I still miss her an our escapades.
