It is with sadness that I share with you the passing of our classmate and friend Jeffrey Johnston. Jeff joined our class in 1962 at the beginning of our junior year. For several years he struggled with Parkinson's Disease. Those struggles ended on August 19th, 2024. His friend, and classmate, Brian Roarty, shared with us that Jeff graduated from Colgate University, served as a decorated officer in the US Navy, and was a graduate of Stanford University School of Business. He lived most of his life, after Colgate, in Southern California. Jeff had been home-bound for several years always welcoming contact with his Shaker classmates and staying in touch with regular telephone calls and an occasional visit.

Jeff made a broad and diverse set of friendships that lasted a lifetime. Classmates and friends who knew him valued his friendship and will miss him greatly. He is survived by his sister. Lynne, who resides in Rancho Bernardo, CA.
