Anne was my best friend in our last years of high school. We loved to sew together. Even after she went to college in Wisconsin, our friendship continued. As a matter of fact, when she chose to go off to travel in Europe, I rented her room in the flat she was sharing in S.F. A month later, in France, a car hit her and killed her instantly.
