William “Bill” Hugh Patterson, III, age 67, of Lansdowne, PA, passed away on June 11, 2024, at home in Lansdowne.

Bill was born on September 2, 1956, to the late William H. Patterson, Jr., and Elizabeth J. Patterson (nee Warner). He grew up in Sharon Hill, where he graduated from Sharon Hill High School in 1974. Bill was the Scientific Program Administrator at the American College of Physicians, where he worked for 25 years before retiring in 2008.

Bill’s passion was photography. For over 20 years, he enjoyed a successful wedding and portraiture business. His photographic enthusiasm expanded through his love of nature and travel. He and his wife, Mary, travelled throughout the US, Europe, and Australia, where he captured scenic vistas and historic sites. Bill enjoyed being active in his community, serving on various committees in Lansdowne, the Media Arts Council, and the Philadelphia Sketch Club for many years.

Bill is survived by his wife of 36 years, Mary Patterson; and his sister, Karen Patterson. 

Per Bill’s wishes, no funeral or other service will be held.
