Activities:  Track 2; and Winter Track 1.

Don likes baseball and music.

His pet peeves are math class, and the track coach.

Don will never forget graduating from Sharon Hill.

He plans to go into the Coast Guard and to a school of business.

 

Class Will entry:

After Don graduated he went into the Navy 2 yrs active and 6 years reserves, than he went to work for the Dept. of Defense at the Phila. Shipyard transferring to Florida in 1994 when the yard was closed. Don was a lifetime member of the Folcroft Fire Co. holding various roles of leadership throughout the years. 

He married Colleen Costello in 1983 and has 2 sons (Donald, Jr. & Chad) and one grandaughter (Kyrstyn). 
 
In Jan 2012 Don was diagnosed with Stage IV Lung Cancer that had spread to his spine, hip, neck and shoulder. He retired in April 2012 after 30+ years of government service and after a short but valient fight passed away peacefully on July 13, 2012. 
 
Although his last 18 years were spent in Flordia, Delco was always his home and he missed dearly.
 
Don attended the 20th Class Reunion in 1994.
 
 

DONALD WAGNER

WAGNER Donald E. Wagner, Sr., 56, passed away peacefully on July 13, 2012 following a courageous battle with cancer. Formerly from Folcroft, PA he had resided in Jacksonville, FL for the past 18 yrs. A veteran of the U.S. Navy he recently retired from the Dept. of Defense (Kings Bay) after 32 years of service. He was a lifetime member of the Folcroft Fire Co. and missed the many friends he made over the years. He was a proud father and devoted grandfather (Pop) who will be greatly missed. He is predeceased by his parents Clifford and Alice and brothers John and Joseph. He is survived by his wife of 29 yrs. Colleen, sons Donald, Jr. (Courtney) and Chad, granddaughter Kyrstyn, sister Darlene (Dave) Woodside, DE., brother Russell (Mary) Wagner, PA, sister-in-laws, brother-in-laws and many nieces and nephews. A Celebration of Life will be held at 5pm, Sunday, July 22, 2012 at Hardage-Giddens Chapel Hills Funeral Home, 850 St. Johns Bluff Rd. N. Jacksonville. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Private Inurnment will be held Jacksonville National Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Community Hospice of N.E.
