Troy Sperry VIEW PROFILE

Troy W. Sperry, 29, of 1614 Saemann Avenue, tragically died Sunday, July 2, 2000, following an accident while rafting on the Fox River near Shawano.
Troy was born Aug. 16, 1970 in Sheboygan, to Royal S. Sperry and Diane J. (Ottensmann) Sperry.
Following graduation from North High School, Class of 1989, Troy enlisted in the U.S. Marine Corp; serving from 1991 to 1995. He saw duty in Somalia and was awarded the Armed Forces Expeditionary Medal and National Defense Service Medal.
Troy was currently employed at Kohler Co., working in the brass division.
While attending North High School, Troy excelled in wrestling, and took pride in his accomplishments, which included the Pinning Title of 21 pins out of 40 matches. His record year was 36 wins and 4 losses and placing third in the Wisconsin State Tournament. Troy enjoyed many other athletic events including snow boarding, parachuting, skiing, and biking.
In addition to this parents of Sheboygan, Troy is survived by a brother and sister-in-law, Craig and Carol Greiner of Sheboygan; a sister and a brother-in-law, Laura and Thomas Schnicke of Sheboygan Falls and their children, Abigail and Monica Schnicke; maternal grandparents, Oscar and Delores Ottensmann of Sheboygan; and other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by an infant sister, Lisa Greiner.
Funeral services will be held Friday at 1 p.m. at Ballhorn Funeral Chapels. The Rev James W. Klein, pastor of New Covenant Parish, will officiate. Burial will take place in Holy Cross Cemetery.
A time of visitation and support will be held at Ballhorn’s on Thursday from 4 to 8 p.m. and on Friday from 10 a.m. until the time of service. A memorial fund has been established in his name.
