Vehicle hits tree, killing driver, 26

A 26-year-old Auburn man died Saturday after his vehicle struck a tree off Highway 410, 22 miles east of Enumclaw, according to the State Patrol.

William McComb was traveling east about 7:45 a.m. when his 1999 Ford Expedition left the roadway. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

The accident is under investigation, the Patrol said.
