Stanley was born July 29, 1942 in Tacoma, WA to George R and Edna (Forsberg) Ahlquist. He passed away at him home in Graham on Tuesday April 3, 2012 at the age of 69.
Stanley grew up in Shelton graduating from Shelton High School in 1960. He then received his Associates of Arts in Accounting from Pierce College. He worked as a surveyor for Simpson Timber Company and an accountant for the Washington State Department of Corrections.
He married Lois A Grimm, January 2, 1972 in Coeur D’ Alene, Idaho. They have lived in the Tacoma area for 17 years. Stanley will be remembered by his family as being, “Loud”, “Silly Sometimes” and tolerating Her Dog” He loved having his Family around, spending time with his Grandchildren, Golfing and Bowling. He had been a member of the Elk’s Lodge.
Surviving are his beloved wife of 40 years Lois, stepdaughter Jerie Longacre and stepson, Greg Albrecht (Roanne), Brother George Ahlquist and Sister Sonja Cochran, 6 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren and 7 great-great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. Family suggests memorials may be made to Mary Bridge Children’s Hospital or Seattle Children’s Hospital.
A celebration of his life will be held Saturday April 14, 2012, 1:00pm at the Lacey Funeral Alternative Chapel 2830 Willamette Dr. N.E. Suite G Lacey, WA.
