Marie Kneeland (Rose) - Class Of 1964

Marie Louise Kneeland-Rose, born on March 8, 1946 in Shelton, Washington to John and Helen (Holmgren) Kneeland, passed away on January 4, 2006 at her home in Shelton. Marie Rose is survived by her husband of 27 years Gerald Rose, and by her only child, Sonja Florin. She also leaves behind her mother, Helen Dumovich, brother, Edward Kneeland and many nieces and nephews, She was preceded in death by her father, John Kneeland; stepfather, Ivan Dumovich; stepbrother, Ron Goos; stepsister Sharon Goos. She attended the University of Puget Sound in the 1970s, earning her teaching credentials. Marie then attended beauty school in Seattle before returning to Shelton. She was employed by the Washington State Department of Licensing in Olympia for many years. She met her husband, Gerald Rose, in Shelton during the year of 1975. They were happily married at the time of her passing. Marie loved to travel. During her lifetime she traveled to Italy, France, Greece, Australia, England, Amsterdam, Switzerland, Austria and Germany, as well as widely throughout the United States. A graveside service service was held at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, January 12,2006, at Shelton Memorial park. A reception was at Hope Chapel in Shelton following the service. Arrangements were under the direction of McComb Funeral Home, Shelton.
