Mark sat behind me in Mrs Gruver's English class. He used to quietly tease & torment me just like my older brothers did at home. I enjoyed it thoroughly, especially because he was "easy on the eye" as they say. He was also a very kind person, quiet and thoughtful. The Monday morning that I came to class and he wasn't there was surreal....
I remember the day Mark Manke passed away...he was my brother Mark's good friend...he had gone to ride his motorcycle on the powerline roads by my house..he waved and smiled and said hi to me...something I have never forgotten...because he had never done that before, back then it wasn't cool to talk to your best friends little sister!...That was the last time we saw him...
