Henrietta Hartman (Dines)

born 10 Feb 1945 died 15 Aug 1997, Clatskanie, OR Obituary: The Clatskanie Chief, August 21, 1997 Henrietta "Etta" Dines 1945-1997 Henrietta "Etta" Mae Dines of Clatskanie died Friday, Aug. 15, at Southwest Medical Center in Vancouver, Wash., at the age of 52. She was born in Tacom, Wash., on Feb. 10, 1945, the daughter of John Edward and Eleanor (Thomas) Krise, and received her education in Shelton schools, graduating from Shelton High School in 1963. She married Warren E. Dines in Portland on Mar. 16, 1965, and they moved to Clatskanie from Caldwell, idaho, 32 years ago. Proud of her heritage, she was instrumental in starting the Indian Education Program for the Columbia 5J School District and had continued to work with the program. Survivors include her husband, Warren at home; a daughter and son-in-law, Guy and Gina Dines of Clatskanie; a son, Lonny Dines of Clatskanie; her mother Eleanor Krise of Shelton, Wash.; a brother, Alan Krise of Shelton, Wash.; a sister, Darlene Krise of Shelton, Wash.; her mother-in-law, Katherine Cook of Longview; and five grandchildren, Katelyn, Ashlyn, and Jocelyn Dines, all of Clatskanie, and Shelby and Wade Nelson of Scappoose. Services were to have been held Wednesday, Aug. 20 at the Clatskanie High School Auditorium, with the Rev. Joe Strandjord of Faith Lutheran Church officiating. Committal services were to follow at Murray Hill Cemetery. Memorial donations have been suggested to: Special Olympics of Oregon, c/o Wells Fargo Bank, P.O. Box 537, St. Helens 97051.
