I remember our senior year in 1967 when Ron transferred into Irene S. Reed, as he sat near me in English class. He was pretty quiet yet polite. He and his brother were out in Eldon putting up campaign signs for his Dad, as he was running for some type of office in Mason County? Not sure now. Anyway, he and his brother were both killed in a traffice accident, as they failed to negotiate one of those bad curves just north of the Eldon Store. My brother in law, Gary Mazzoncini, heard the sounds of the accident and ran up to help from his oyster farm, but there was nothing he could do.
