Victor Olson-Satterfield

b. 15 Aug 1945 d. 15 Jan 1984 in Danbury, NH According to his brother, Ken Olson (SHS62), Vic died of a massive heart attack at work. Vic was married with 2 children (1 boy and 1 girl). He worked for a trucking Co. and was in the Navy 4-yrs and discharged as a veteran in 1967. He is survived by his family, his brother Ken Olson and Ken's wife Ilene (Watson) in Shelton. OBITUARY: Mason County Journal Victor Satterfield (Olson) Shelton native Victor J. Satterfield of Danbury, New Hampshire, died January 23 at his office in Woonsocket, Rhode Island. He was 38 years old. Mr. Satterfield was born August 15, 1945 in Shelton, the son of John and Beulah (Auseth) Satterfield. He had lived in Cumberland, Rhode Island for seven years before moving to Danbury four years ago. He was a sales representative covering all of Northern New England for Jannell and Son Truck Body Manufacturers. He was a member of Emmanuel Episcopal Church in Cumberland and mt. Moriah Lodge 8 F&AM of Limerock, Rhode Island, and Order of Eastern Star. Mr. Satterfield also was a Navy veteran, having served during the Vietnam confict. He was one of the first male Girl Scout leaders in Rhode Island and was active in many camping organizations. He is survived by his wife Janis (Graham); a son, Scott of Danbury; a daughter, Lisa of Danbury; and a brother Kenneth Olson of Shelton. Funeral services were Friday, January 27, at Danbury Christian Church with the Reverend Bruce Chamberlain officiating. Masonic committal services were by King Solomon's Lodge F&AM with burial in Riverdale Cemetery, Danbury.
