May 1981 in Olympia, Wa OBITUARY: Mason County Journal Jun 4, 1981 David Earl Jubb A funeral service for David Earl Jubb was held in Shelton Memorial Park on May 22 at 11 a.m. under the direction of Selene Mortuary. Mr. Jubb died on May 17. He was a resident of Olympia. Born in Shelton on February 22, 1945, he graduated fro Shelton High School in 1962 (1963). he was graduated from Washington State University in 1967 with a teacher's certificate. He was a member of the Eagles Lodge in Seattle. Surviving are his wife, Kathy, and two sons, Christopher P. and Justin B., all of Olympia; and his mother, Mrs. Donna Jubb of Shelton. Police Reports (olympian, May 20, 1981) A suicide victim was found inside a parked car Tuesday at 78th Avenue and Ayre Street S.E., a deputy reported. David Earl Jubb, 36, 319-A Choker St., was holding a .38 caliber pistol and he had a wound in his head, the deputy said. There was a suicide note. Tag Frazier ruled the death a suicide.
