I remember how cruelly Thea Saeger was treated
throughout our high school years. Bullies were alive
and well back then as they are now. I always felt so badly for her by the treatment of some of the most "popular" boys or "wanna-be" hangers on. I reconnected with her after our 10 year reunion. Just imagine how brave and heroic she was to come to the reunion! That is when I discovered how traumatic her years at IRS had been. She died of cancer shortly after that. She was a brilliant person, a Peace Corp volunteer, a teacher and a scholar. May she always and forever rest in peace.
Thea was a sweet friend, who wasn't really appreciated
until too late. She lived a fulfilled life and I'm sure was truly appreciated by so many. She has earned her
reward.
