Nothin' wrong with being a KISS fan! "Heaven's on Fire" is one of the greatest rock anthems ever. Can't listen to it without cranking it up.

Mark, I'm trying to remember what kind of vehicle you drove back then...

12/05/08 12:26 PM #607

Mark Avant (1985)

A very cool Honda CRX, no power but a great stereo.

12/05/08 12:28 PM #608

Mark Avant (1985)

Justin, you should go basic and get Meatloaf. Cause you know two out of three ain't bad

Vicki Ausbrooks (Shaw) (1988)

Heck, it never mattered WHAT ya'll drove...the upperclassmen were just always so COOL! : ) Even though you couldn't drive like a bat out of H-E-double hockey-sticks...at least you could listen to it!

Chuck Schwartz (1985)

Ha! Mark I remember those pictures of you in the KISS costume! Who else was in on that?

12/05/08 12:44 PM #611

Mark Avant (1985)

It was me Jason Jordan and Doug Simpson. And of course someone's parents thought it would be great to have it immortilized in the Headlight. Vicki I believe if you look in the 1st 10 or 15 pages of the 85 yearbook you'll see a pic of Mark Dameron, Darren McCool and myself standing in front of my whip.

Justin James (1986)

Oysters! the car was all about the stereo, now adays you have to include the rims into that statement!

12/05/08 01:10 PM #613

Justin James (1986)

Hey Vicki, since we are still older than you! does that still make us COOL upper classmen? LOL :)

12/05/08 01:40 PM #614

Chuck Schwartz (1985)

That CRX was a cool ride. I bought my car right before graduation. It was a "sweet" Dodge Colt. I could barely fit the stereo in it.

Stacy Cunningham (Gilbert) (1989)

Anything was cooler than a girl driving her daddy's truck which is what I did until Christmas of my Senior year!

Chuck Schwartz (1985)

LOL! The East End Bus was a cool ride as well. I rode that thing well into my Senior year! Hideous memories.

I believe Justin is rubbing in his proximity to the gulf.
I love Mobile. What a great town. And the bus and daddy's truck beat walking up Vine st to school. I did that until my sr year. Although a very hot neighbor girl a couple of years my senior used to give me a ride to school in her little red mustang. And although my crx only had 2 seats, it amazed me how often there would be 4 or 5 people in it.

Stacy Cunningham (Gilbert) (1989)

Yeah...funny how you and she rode to school and Pam and walked in the opposite direction to the Junior High! Your poor sister even got hit crossing 167! Meanies.

12/05/08 02:47 PM #619

Mark Avant (1985)

That was before the days of crossing guards and ped bridges.
Crossing 167 was a coming of age trial. A lot like playing Frogger. I also think Pam did more damage to the William's van that it did to her.
