I believe the light has moved to less crowded digs. Do you remember D & D at the Springlake Country Club?

Gotta go back a couple of pages...

Hey Steve, would Jason and Jeremy's little group be the Cumberland Street Rockers? I think Jason lived next to Jeremy and I know he lived on Cumberland. I know because I did too. Unfortunately, I moved away to the Pacific NW in late 84 and didn't get back til January 86 or maybe I too could have been a member of the Cumberland Street Rockers and therefore a member of the Rock You Crew. But, alas, it was not meant to be. As they say, timing is everything in life.

D and D? Springlake Country Club was that trashed out building on Spring Lake. Jim Duncan and I found some dudes pot crops growing out there when we were in the 6th grade. I have heard that Springlake is now a resort. Do I have proper beta?

You may, I'm not sure about me. My snapses may be crossfiring.

It might have been the Cumberland Street Rockers. It was something like that. I will have to ask Scott for verification.

He doesnt forget ANYTHING.

In any case... we... um.. I mean... THEY... danced at Jasons house after the merger because Jason had the linoleum hookup whereas we were on cardboard.

We were so "Street"... so very very "Street"

Naming a breakdance group after your street might not work for everyone. Or then again, me & Trent Allen coulda been the "Mockingbird Moonwalkers".

Chuck - when you say the Spring Lake CC... are you talking about "Lakeside Country Club"? If so, it's not trashed out anymore... we're having our reunion there next month! I've got pictures (go figure) of Lakeside here: www.sheridan88.com/member_ReunionSignup.cfm

maybe eventually but for me to move back to Arkansas the little lady would have to choose the place we live! no way around it! she has enjoyed living in the country but she likes the neighbor hood life! and would jump at he chance to move into a neighbor hood here, I like the country side of things no neighbors, noise, and lots of land! What is the real estate market like there!

Cold as HE doulbe hockey sticks! (stolen from Vicki) but no snow! thus is this area!

Mark Avant (1985)

I was talking about Lakeside CC, not Springlake. Been awhile. There is a fairly new subdivision at Springlake now, right?

12/12/08 10:32 AM #1132

Mark Avant (1985)

Back in the day, you could turn down that old gravel road and do a little parkin' by the lake and be assured of some privacy. Or that's what I hear anyway. heh heh

I don't know about EE real estate...but up here the land is going for OVER DOUBLE what it was when we moved here in 2000. We lucked out on our 20 acres. There's a rich lawyer in town who buys up all the land as soon as it hits the market. He's hoarding it...not sure why. Anyway, we have no neighbors and I'm just fine with that.

12/12/08 11:15 AM #1139

Justin James (1986)

it has done the same here, Land was reasonably priced 10 years ago but know it can go for as much as 50 thousand an acre, and on the coast you dont want to know! Im happy with my slice of heaven also but my next move will have to be into a subdivison! and my neighbors will hate me! LOL

Justin James (1986)

has any one built a home recently? what is the average SF rate there, im sure the market should help drive it down some?

Bridget Sterrett (Felstead) (1988)

So Vicki are you wearing jeans Friday night??? I am thinking jeans friday night and then something more dressy Saturday night. I am sure the guys are going to add their two cents on the topic!!!!

12/12/08 11:23 AM #1142

Justin James (1986)

12/12/08 11:28 AM #1143

Vicki Ausbrooks (Shaw) (1988)

Yes, Bridgett. I'm going with jeans Friday night and a skirt Sat. night. Hopefully it will be warm inside. : )

12/12/08 11:28 AM #1144

Bridget Sterrett (Felstead) (1988)

Justin
I can always count on you!!!!!! Your the best!!!! It is a shame I did not get to know a lot more people in school than what I did. Being married at that age and jealousy played a big part in it!!!!

12/12/08 11:30 AM #1145

Vicki Ausbrooks (Shaw) (1988)

Yep, Justin. Neighbors wouldn't dig me either. We have 4 guitars hooked up in the living room and speakers inside and outside. We like to party by the pool in the summer and crank the music.

12/12/08 11:34 AM #1146

Vicki Ausbrooks (Shaw) (1988)

I know what you mean, Bridgett! There's a reason our mothers always told us not to get too serious with one person at that age!

(No offense, Steve-O.)
