Wow! Looking at the instructions on how to post video...It is a good thing that you are in the know Vicki. It looks all Greek to me! Cool! I have a few clips warming up in the bullpen!

Am I the only one who thought Ralph Macchio was under-rated?

(safe link, I promise)

Aaron, Karate Kid Rocks! We don't care what people think, because..."fear does not exist in this dojo...does it??!!" He was cool through the first two Karate Kids and then he got huge and looked old and the storyline timelined over the course of about a year through 3 movies. Yikes! He suddenly looked like the Karate Kid who needed the ab-lounge! 1 and 2 were pretty good 80's icons. He should have taken Miyagi's advice after number 2 (wow! bad, really bad pun) "to make honey, young bee need flower, not old prune."

Glad to know I'm not alone & you're down with Danielson. (BTW, Have you ever met anyone named "Daniel" EVER and not called him "Danielson"! lol) Can I get some feedback from you guys/gals on something? I just scanned and posted all the pages from "My Favorite Book" - a gift received by all Kindergarteners from Grant County Bank back in the day. I'm curious as to when they began giving this gift? Chuck, Justin, Mark... did you guys get one? Here's the post: http://iamchief.blogspot.com/2008/12/my-favorite-book.html (see, I'll be nice and relieve you of your Rickrollaphobia)

Aaron, I am down with Danielson, but I started at East End Elementary during 4th grade. We moved into EE from Florida. Yes, it was a huge culture shock, but I soon adapted to the 'hood. The "barbarian kid" with the "Schwartz" name. LOL! Thank God for "Spaceballs"! So I don't think I got that stuff from Grant County Bank. Much love for not throwing "the Rick" at us bro. Your UMYF Brotha from way back!

Vick, Good job hittin' that treadmill in the icy conditions! Way to go!

Justin James (1986)

yeah Vicki way to go, Hundreds of thousands of people out of power in the North east and all you can do is think about your self and waste electricity on a tread mill! Rocky ran in the sleet and snow to whip up on a Russian! what kind of an example are you setting! I bet Chuck runs in the snow out in Colorado! Heck we even go hunting in that kind of weather to provide for our Families! LOLLLLLLLLLLLLLL :) Aaron i moved into Sheridan in the second grade but i remember that cover for some reason may have been from my brother he went there from K-12!

I kinda thought Pat Morita stole the show. I did not get that book. My sister did however, she was a year older than you Aaron. I seem to remember her recieving it when she was
in kindergarten. Am I right?
Chuck, to continue our theme, and to help Justin make fun of Vicki not running in the sleet.
"What'sa matter, you some kinda girl or something?":)

Becky Millard (Pruitt) (1987)

Doing my bi-weekly drive-by.... Don't be disrespecting my girl for not running in the sleet!!! :) I haven't run outside for a month - but it's freakin cold here (highs in the 20's)... Don't listen to them, Vic!! But I do have to tell ya, the treadmill stinks!!!

The Karate Kid is the essence of all life lessons!! And Ralph Maccio was kinda cute in that skinny, New York Italian kid sorta way....

Gotta go run on the treadmill now... :(

Justin James (1986)

You go Mark! Becky how bout the colts! Peyton is starting to get back into a groove, look out NFL!!! now that i buttered you up you know you can jump on the band wagon and help us make Vicki feel guilty! It will be alot of fun we PROMISE! and besides if you like the Colts then your a winner and you want to be on the winning team dont you! LOL

Richard Wade (1989)

Wasn't Ralph about 42 years old when he did the Karate Kid??

12/17/08 11:05 AM #1259

Aaron Wilson (1988)

Richard - I remember that same thing about Ralphie's age... seems that he was in his late 20's or something... crazy.

Just checked imdb.com... he was born in '61... seems like I saw KK1 during high school, so that would've put him in his late 20's.

Vicki Ausbrooks (Shaw) (1988)

Yeah, yeah...pick on the girl who hates winter and all things that sting. When I run outdoors in the summer, I find myself worrying about the swarms of wasps that we get. When I run outdoors in the summer OR winter, I have to dodge dog-poop. It's not very conducive to zoning out...which is what I need to be able to do in order to solve the world's problems. LOL!

Plus, the treadmill has shocks for my knees. SO THERE!

I loved the Karate Kid movies, but I always thought that Ralph Macchio walked like a dork.

12/17/08 11:46 AM #1261

Stacy Cunningham (Gilbert) (1989)

Hey Vic...ask the guys the last time they ran (except for Chuck...we know he does)....so I run on a treadmill (and yes it's horrible but at 8:00p.m. it's my only option out here in the boondocks!)...Becky runs....you run...let's take a vote on the fellas...sounds like if you run...I'll take running like a girl if it means I'm running...let's take a poll!

Justin James (1986)

Im like Forrest Gump, I WAS RUNNING! no not really dont run much any more! i prefer to ride a bike! and running is so 70's and 80's, makes me feel old!

12/17/08 12:14 PM #1264

Bridget Sterrett (Felstead) (1988)

I am a treadmiller also, when I get a chance to be on it. I hate going to the gym where all the weirdos watch you. Girls rule!!!!!!

12/17/08 12:46 PM #1265

Chuck Schwartz (1985)

Good one Mark! Nice blend of Miyagi and context! Hey ladies if you are doing any kind of running you got my vote! I hit "the mill" the other night. It was cold and dark (outside that is) so I gave in. Vickie, I know what you mean, the run helps you zone out and de-stress.

12/17/08 12:49 PM #1266

Chuck Schwartz (1985)

Justin,
You just need a University of Oregon track suit, some tube socks and some old Nikes! Top it all off with a cool sweat band and you will be retro and cardio!

12/17/08 01:03 PM #1267

Chuck Schwartz (1985)

Justin, How many times have I heard the phrase "Run, Forrest, Run"? Take a guess!

12/17/08 01:41 PM #1268

Mark Avant (1985)

"You wouldn't know it by lookin', but I can run like the wind."

12/17/08 01:48 PM #1269

Justin James (1986)

Did Bridget call all of us guys weirdo's? we look because of a video from the 80's ! we have been hoping that a women would change into OLJ! She was it for me back then! :):)
