OK. Add Air Supply to Pet Shop Boys on my list of bands I was ashamed I liked. I can dig it Vic!

I can't say I'm really surprised to hear that, Jim. I've seen you cry more than once. : )

Hey, tell Lin to check her e-mail. I sent her a good one both to work and home. A bit of nostalgia.

Ummmm...yeah, this is how retarded I am generally. We put this in our kids' stockings and I have played with it more than they have...and laughed 'til I cried...

You just haven't lived 'til you've FLARPED.

Is everyone still hung over from all the sugar at Christmas? Where is everyone?

I hope Santa was good to everyone. Vicki gave me an unintentional gift with the flarp video. VERRY funny. And I'm not talkin' 'bout the Flarp either. Thanks Vicki.;)

I checked out the class of '88 blog today and was impressed with the "Power Team" article. Man, those guys were pushing some serious weight back then. I coached High School athletics for years and we had few guys that could put up those numbers and I coached at a 5A School with over 2000 kids. Kudos to Sheridan High School Athletics! I think those were the years of "Football Renaissance" for Sheridan as well. It was great to see Sheridan kick some butt in Football after all those years of dissappointments. I am not hung over from the holidays! LOL! We had a great Christmas. Fun with a 3 year old and a 1 year old. Lots and lots of toys and I have been putting stuff together and installing batteries like crazy. Heading to Breckenridge tomorrow night for New Years. I haven't encountered "Flarp" yet, but if Caleb sees it, it is all over. The video was sketchy-funny! I am not sure but I think Mark Avant was touching on it. Weird dudes from "Wayne's World" that probably work at Subway.

Mark, I'm almost afraid to ask...did I do it again? Like with the Chia pet vid? : ) Cuz I noticed a lot of *ahem* interesting vids pop up on youtube when I searched for Flarp.

Here's that personal announcement I was talking about:

I'm attempting AGAIN to quit smoking. I will do it this time. I am determined! If I can run 5 miles a day, I can do this, right? I have a new tool to help me called an electronic cigarette. It's WAY cool! No tar, no smoke. It uses a small amount of nicotine and water vapor to slowly wean me off. I've had it for 6 days now and it's working GREAT!!!

BEAT YOUR CHILDREN IF THEY EVER, EVER TAKE UP SMOKING!!!

Hello all. Hope everyone had a great Christmas. Vicki, I do understand what you are going through. I smoked for about 5 years. When I became pregnant with Colton in 1994 that is when I quit. I wish you the best of luck. You have to want to do it that is the key. Don't surround yourself with people who smoke that will only make it harder. Have you tried Chantix???? I works but it is expensive. If your insurance will pay for it that helps. Some people I have talked to have done really well on it with no side effects. Other it makes then very sick. I work for a lung doctor and I see a lot of things come through this office related to smoking. Not trying to scare you but you will be so happy and healthier when you quit!!!!!! Good luck. The count down is on and I can't wait to see everyone in January!!!!

Well, thanks a million, my peeps!!! I'll need all the thoughts, prayers, and well-wishes I can get! And, yeah, it could get very interesting indeed around here. The last time I tried to quit, I used the patch and after about 24 hours, my husband was begging me to go buy some cigarettes!!!! Apparently, I was not too nice. LOL!!! That's why I got the e-cig...it really takes the edge off. And believe it or not, FLARP is helping me keep my hands busy! And it always makes me laugh...never fails. So, I now have 4 cans of FLARP...all different colors. This is gonna be GREAT!!!

If you have the discipline to run 5 miles a day hang in there it will get much easier over time. Think how awesome the running will be in the future!! Go for it and hang tough!

It is all in the mind, Vic. Stay focused on the process of quitting and not on the jonesing for a cig and you will look up one day and it will be easy.

you can do it.

As the year ends, I thought I'd take a second and thank Vicki for setting up this site. It's allowed me to reconnect with some old friends and get to know better people who were aquaint...err however you spell it, need to add spell check. Usually, for me, this time of year is bittersweet. And I usually drink a lot and think with some sadness about the year gone by so fast. This year, however, I think I'll be happy and look forward to the new year. I do think we should pay some homage to the year gone by. This is one of my favorite "feeling sorry for myself songs". It's by someone we lost just over a year ago. I hope all of you have a great year ahead. And I hope we can get the multi-year reunion together and meet with each other if only for a day.

Yep, we've been friends a long time Chuck. I still remember going over to Barry's for the weekend. He'd usually have 3 or 4 of us over. I remember thinking his mom was very hot.
Do you remember Mark Farris? I wonder what became of him. I really thought a lot of that crazy albino. Anyway, it's 2009 in your part of the time continuim, hope it's great for you.
