I LOVE SNOW....but that is a lot of freakin' snow! I don't know if I would enjoy that much snow....I think I'll take (eventhough I'm NOT fond of it at all) my 79 degree day yesterday! We had to turn on the air for a little while....seriously....miserable!

I like snow, at a ski lodge. Where someone else has to shovel it from the walks.

well i have not seen snow in years! i would love to get snow for a week or so! that would be just fine, Stacy i know how you feel about the 70 degree weather in January! I want some cold weather it makes hunting so much better! Vicki i looked on the internet to see if a crazed wife had been arrested for domestic violence in your area? no luck finding the report! LOL

Snow is supposed to be in a cone with fruity flavoring added. Any other way and it stinks.

I love the snow... five feet deep is fine with me.

but I realize that it is the scarcity of it, hereabouts, that is primarily resonsible for my feelings on the matter... if I lived up north and had to see it and function in it every day for months I would probably hate it.

But here we can afford to let it bring us to a screeching halt for a few short days a year. It doesnt happen enough to get old...

Chuck,

My, what big pictures you have!

01/06/09 01:41 AM #1480

Chuck Schwartz (1985)

Yeah, Yeah, the pictures are too big! I am lucky to have posted them on here. The photobucket procedure maxed me out. Lucky that we don't get these snows all the time here. For you warm weather "flatlanders" you will be happy to know that my part of Colorado doesn't get nearly as much snow as the Western Slope (the ski country part of Colorado). I live on the edge of the Rockies (like, 400 yards from the mountains) and to the East of me is plains. Therefore, we don't get the huge snow. Mark, one of the jobs my company does is snow removal. So I am one of the grunts moving snow for guys like you. Enjoy! LOL! It is actually fun to run a snowblower. You have to admit that the picture of my boy Caleb was pretty cool. So, the Class of '88 has a reunion approaching...cool. Hope it wont turn out like the CLASS OF 85 REUNION! Mark, do you have the powerpoints of the "reunion"? I do somewhere... And one more thing, Stacy - you turned on your air conditioner the other day? What the heck? Where do you live? Shreveport? You run your air conditioner in January? 79 degrees!!! Holy Cow! My wife would love your weather-she hates snow and she hates the cold! (she is from Los Angeles)

Chuck, My wife is from Tampa and she hates the cold weather also! But im sure she would love to spend a weekend in the mountains at a ski lodge!

I'm with Aaron, I have photo envy :) I do have that ppt setup Cato sent out. I never took it off my desktop. We get snow here. Usually one good one and a few small ones/year. I just grab some calcium chloride from work and spread it out before the snow starts and voila, no snow on the sidewalks. Those 50 lb bags also help my pickup with traction.

Vicki Ausbrooks (Shaw) (1988)

Hey, Mark! Care to share that ppt with everyone? If you want, you can e-mail it to me and I can put it up on the site.

Stacy Cunningham (Gilbert) (1989)

Chuck...yep about about 60 miles East of Shreveport. We wouldn't have turned it on normally but we were expecting company and it was so uncomfortable!
I would love to see that PowerPoint also!

Chuck Schwartz (1985)

Great idea Vickie. We should post that powerpoint.

Oh...and Mark...when you do, make the pictures really, really big!

Go Big or Go home!

01/06/09 04:38 PM #1487

Mark Avant (1985)

I'm trying. Can't seem to get them to email. I think it's because I have a mac, and don't use a formal IP. Maybe you can try Chuck. I sent you a message to try and tell you how.
Sorry everyone else. I guess more BIG pictures to come.

Mark its kinda like when you are doing your Karaoke thing GO BIG OR GO HOME!!! Chuck your son looks like he is wanting to ask how much are you paying me for this? What kind of car is that orange one in the background?

Chuck Schwartz (1985)

Dodge Charger baby! I was wondering if someone would notice. Bo and Luke live right across the street!

Mark Avant (1985)

I also live about 400 yards from the mountains. I actually live in a pass called Afton Gap. Our mountains are smaller but that just means they were here 1st mister Rocky Mountains and lots of snow :) I bet they get a lot of use out of that Charger now don't they?

01/06/09 10:35 PM #1491

Justin James (1986)

it looked like a charger but i was not for sure! so does Daisy live with them? My boys love them some dukes! Drives the wife crazy! so its a good thing! LOL

I just wanted everyone to know we lost a fellow Jacket Sunday. Matt Newsom from the class of 85 passed away. He had been having kidney problems for a while. Please remember Matt in your prayers. He was a really nice guy and good friend to me.

I remember Matt well from band. Sorry to hear about his death. Thanks for letting us know Jody.

Wow, I last saw Matt a few years ago and he'd had weight loss surgery and seemed so upbeat and healthy. I'd know him from the 1st grade on. Even though we'd lost contact I would to this day say he was my friend. I will miss him.

Matt was a good friend of mine as well. Great sense of humor and very talented individual. He played W.C. Fields in the Junior Play and I remember him doing a fantastic job. Mark, we used to do role play games with Matt all the time. This a real loss and I am bummed to have lost contact all these years.
