Wow. That guy is interesting. That "Judy Chop" looked ominous! Basically the story of the "man cave" is long and detailed but in short, I had run out of every possible space in the house between Charla and the boys and the garage was the last frontier. Old dad had been booted. So I fixed it up with the basic intention of being a cool hang out spot. Plus I have tons of gear and stuff sorted on the walls. That last picture we just had a bunch of kids stuff strewn about, basically its a gym. So my "Endless Summer" poster is in the garage, gear, fridge, stereo, workout stuff, etc... And its not just for me. Charla parks her car in it and they hang out there to. I keep my Cabbage Patch dolls in the storage room so people don't see them right off the bat though.

(By the way, if anyone is jumping on this thread at this point - I have no idea where David pulled the Cabbage Patch reference from, but it adds comic relief.)

Whatever, Chuck. From now on I tell everyone you collect Cabbage Patch Dolls.

04/01/09 08:14 AM #2349

Justin James (1986)

Not only does Chuck collect them he forges there birth certificates and travels to flea markets on weekends to set up and sell them! before long he will go mainstream and get Billy Mays to promo for him! Hi this is Billy Mays and i want to tell you about the Chuck Schwartz cabbage patch kids collection! they come in all shapes and sizes and are as close to a real Chuck Schwartz as you can get with out being an actual Chuck Schwartz.

Chuck hang the sign for women to keep out if not once you get it the way you want it they will see the potential in the Man Cave and take it over! Beware Beware! lol

Wait a second, looking back....I think Aaron just dissed David and me. He said he was jk...I don't know. I think there's an underlying seriousness. Second stringers, on the bench, nobody paying any attention. Hey man, I know what you're doin'.

David Fort (1989)

Congrats on the 20 years!

I am glad someone finally picked up and ran with the Cabbage Patch Kids reference. I figured it might. Oh, by the way Justin, Billy Mays has to rhyme.

Chuck, if you want the women to stay out of your Man Cave, just proudly display your Cabbage Patch Kids. That should drive women away from a full grown man with a quickness.

Does anybody remember the Garbage Pail Kids? A Fortesque spin on the Cabbage Patch Variety. There was Flat Tyler, Fryin' Brian, and Brainy Janey to name a few. I remember Brian Pruett having several of them stuck on his locker door.

I'm not believing this.

Go back to the bench Mark.

I'm going to the NEW Forum. :)

The new forum looks a little goofy. I like this format better. (K.I.S.S.)

Apparently no one is using either of them today.

Mark Avant (1985)

I'm using this one. The other seems too complex. I don't handle complex very well. I'm just jazzed I got Aaron again.
Thought "surely, they'll know ". heh heh

Hey, I love the new forums! What should our new topics be? Cool swimming holes? Crappy Summer jobs? Justin did you say this is 20 yr. anniversary?

04/01/09 02:01 PM #2364

Chuck Schwartz (1985)

David, just caught the Cabbage Patch Kids to ward off unwanted estrogen in the Man Cave. Actually, it would have reverse effect in my house. But, I don't have a problem with my wife hanging in the Cave if she wants.

David Fort (1989)

That helps to explain Aaron's post. Sometimes I see those and it's like *huh, what is that referring to?* I wish I could play along.

Chuck, you start a new forum of your choice and we will try to figure it out and play along. I think it will be hard to stay on a subject though. This one has to be bounced around a lot to keep it moving. (i.e. Cabbage Patch Kids.) They will all end up being a hodge podge of things like this one. I guess mainly it will be for people to form little cliques like in High School and play away from the group. You can have a stoner forum, and a "popular" forum, and a band forum, and a...

04/01/09 02:30 PM #2366

Justin James (1986)

well i will not fit into any of those choices i need to bounce around to stay sane! any hooooo I guess we can use those for specific topics until they take this one away! I cant see the youtube postings at work either but i have learned from Mark that some way some how it goes back too i got cha!!!!! Do any of you guys follow Nascar???? Planning on going to Talladega just curious if any one else goes? and Chuck do you turn into the King of your domain when you enter the MANCAVE or should i expect to still be a peasant in the sight of the QUEEN when i get my man cave?????????????

04/01/09 02:54 PM #2367

Chuck Schwartz (1985)

Justin, she is a faux painter/interior design so she gets the whole house and I get the garage. Actually, I also get the yard. Very domestic. Which is shocking because I always relegated that stuff to my neighbors and to old sitcoms. Its cool though.

Oh man...that ground hog is evil!

04/01/09 03:01 PM #2368

David Fort (1989)

I have seen and own Talladega Nights. Does that count?

You shouldn't have to wait to get in your man cave to be the King. Show some backbone man! Nah, just kidding. You have been married 20 years by doing something right. I have only been at it a piddly 16 years.

04/01/09 03:23 PM #2369

Justin James (1986)

Backbone, BACKBONE man ive got more back bone than a T-rex, She does as she is told and i tell you she does it right or she know's what will happen, LOL but know She is a saint to have put up with me for 20 years!

David Fort (1989)
