Uh, yes... I know! But they feel he is very sensitive.  I on the other hand being the sensitive southern gal... made fun of him for crying!!

He and his sister cry just about everytime we see them over something silly. Drives me crazy.

Its gonna be a slow day.  Im setting here waiting for calls from two places for interviews and one place for a job schedule (Im not counting it til I actually have a schedule)  I cant even go out looking til tomorrow because Im low on gas and out of moolah until my truck sells this afternoon (I have a buyer coming)

But hopefully I'll have that schedule soon - I want to start working and stop looking.

Yee haw!

The only thing was we didn't know it opened so late. Opened from 6pm-10.  Because we didn't have flashlights with us we made the kids stay pretty close to us. Otherwise, I'd been out in front with the many other parents drinking coffee and waiting on the kids to have their fun! haa

They had lots of people in orange vests out there roaming around to help lost kiddos.  We'll just have to remember that for next year.

Well, the sad truth is it's the parents fault. The kids respond to how they are raised.  This little boy has been taught that silliness and playfulness is well silly and a waste of time.  He has no sense of humor---at all. Which I don't get! haa I will say the mom has tried to teach him different but in their family the dad has the last say in everything. Even is he's wrong.

Last week they were here and my oldest son was playing with Max. Max was barking and growling and Jake was shaking his head and body and they were just a playing. This little boy started screaming at the top of his lungs that Jake was abusing the dog and didn't deserve to have him.  He was very much seriously upset.  It took me about 20 mins to get him to understand that is how dogs play.

Justin, I agree that screamy, crying kids are annoying in public. But I do try to realize that I don't know what their day has been like or what issues might have lead to a cryfest in public. Although, a good spanking is usually still in order! But I know up here in WA you have to be careful.  I know plenty of folks that think spanking is abusive and they would turn you in-in a heart beat if they saw you spank your kid.

WOW! 2010!!!

Trina i think it is getting that way every where.  You know there is nothing wrong with a kid thinking that  acting silly is a waste of time i wish mine would think like that some times but there is a place for kids to act like kids and blow off steam and a time when they need to act the way you expect them too act but if there was a hand book they would have given it out when they were born!   You know your right you never know what that kid is going through at the time they are acting up.  I will have to remember that next time im thinking that kid needs his arse busted!

Well, that is what is wrong in the world. In my humble opinion, if you don't spank a kid they don't respect your authority.  If they don't respect the parents, they will not respect the teacher, then the policeman, then the judge.

I agree.  I also believe there is a difference between spanking and beating your kid. And I know plenty of parents that abuse their kids without ever touching them physically.

Arkvegas. We have the Mega Millions out here. Never played it. You know that the lottery is a tax on people than failed percentages. Beat 'em I say. (said the guy without kids). My mom just used guilt when I was growing up. I did get a paddling or 12 when I was in school. The worst was Mr. Easton. We had a substitute one day and we were horrible. I may not go to heaven just for that one day. And he lined all 6 of us up and let er rip. When it got to my turn, I was 3rd, his paddle broke on my buns of steel and you shoulda seen Mark Damron's face. He thought he was gonna get out of getting his. No such luck. Mr Easton just waddled on down the hall and borrowed another teacher's.

Florida twenty years ago started the lotto,  with just scratch off's  it took them a short period of time to be up and running for the pick six lotto.   Is it for the schools?  They tried to get one here in Alabama but no said the masses that voted,  I wish we had one it would make it easier to get my tickets!  but i can not complain i voted against it because it was not all guaranteed for the school systems!

I am amazed. I just found out about a program in Lynden (10 mins from us) where my kids can go for extra core enrichment classes (math, science, english, writing) once a week and they will give ME $$ for things like music lessons and stuff! So cool! I don't know all the details yet but I have made the call to talk to the principle.  It sounds pretty neat.

MMmmmmm  loved frankenberries as a kid!! YUM

I start choir next week too. The holidays are just around the corner wow.  Handel's Messiah for the next 8 weeks.

I know, hard to believe the holidays are upon us.  I have a Halloween party to plan for our friends and their kids.  We are talking about setting up Trick or Treat stations in the house or yard for them to go to so we don't have to take them around, but we may hook up a hayride and drag them around EE that way.

Trina did i read right YOU start choir next week!  is that through your church? or just something you enjoy doing,  I used to love when the church went caroling!  and it's just around the corner! Liz started Christmas shopping friday night we were at best buy and picked out several things the for the boys!  she went back Saturday during the game and got them!

David we have an outdoor mall just up the road from us, it's a higher end retail mall they get together and all give out candy  so we can take Pre there and just walk the mall and he get's all the goodies he needs,  as for parties Halloween parties rock especially when you make them costume required,  all the women love to dress up for the occasion!
as a matter of fact check up there and see if Hooters lets all the wait staff dress up on Halloween or the day before they do down here and it's money well spent!

Yes, Justin. I start next Monday night. It's not a church choir. It's Lynden Choral Society Choir. We sing at Christmas and Easter each year.  This will be my 4th performance with the choir.  There are pics of me somewhere on my photo page of me singing with the choir last Christmas.

We have friends that host a Halloween party each year. We didn't go last year because everyone but me was sick. I had planned on going as Mara Jada! haa

We have Boo at the Zoo where they do that.  We also have some area businesses that do it too.  East Union has a "Fall Fest" and they have moon bounces and hayrides, carnival games, pony rides and refreshments. (to name a few things they have)  It is always a good time.  All free too.

I will definitely check in on the Hooters thing.

I thought that would impress the nerdy peanut gallery, but I must confess I was just bustin your chops.  I had to go look it up cause I had no idea who you were talking about and noticed you misspelled it.

I think you should go as Ahsoka Tano.  Way more interesting costume and more recognizeable.  You won't have to be explaining your costume all night.  (Unless your going to a nerd filled party that would know who you were or you carry a baby that is weilding a light saber)
