We used to stop across the street at the Dairy Bar in EE that Brent and Melissa Caple's folks owned and get ice cream and play video games.  I can remember Centipede and Donkey Kong.  Some kids would get those Ginormous pickles and eat 'em.  I don't know how you could finish one of those. *BLAGH*

Trina how old were you  then?  i know we used to walk to the MM after middle school and all but times be changing and now im not sure if it is safe enough to walk to the store after school,  maybe in Sheridan i dont know!  well time to go home and cut some grass and start fall ball practice tonight!     Pre my 10 y/o  is starting big boy baseball  70 foot bases,  50 foot pitching mound kids get to lead off and steal on the pitcher  real baseball he is excited and so im I.

I think you could still do it in Sheridan with no problem. 

I have such fond memories of the Midge.  On football game nights in middle school when you got to stay in Sheridan instead of riding the bus home and skipping out at lunch in HS to go play video games and of course it was the bottom leg of the cruising loop.

I remember the dipped cones at the Daisy Queen were way better than the ones at Dairy Queen.

Daisy Queen, I think it's called the Yellowjacket Drive In now. There used to be a Yellowjacket restaurant just out past the American Legion field on 270 years and years ago. Same kind of food. You're right though Trina, the ice cream stuff there was tons better than even Sonic stuff. I have fond memories of the MM too. I mean it brought in the legal tender! Really enjoyed all the people hanging out and everything. We were even there through the whole Coke/Classic Coke conspiracy. As history making as Watergate or Roswell. Sometimes I wish I still lived on good old Vine St next to the Cunninghams and within walking distance of downtown and all 3 schools. Good times.

They used to make the best Hoagie's when that guy took it over for a while.  I was sad when it became a Tobacco/Gun shop.  It's a little better now that it's a Mexican Restaurant.  We would eat there before our reunion committee meetings.

When I was about 6 maybe 7 I stole a tootsie roll from the MM.  My mom found out before we left the parking lot. She marched me back inside to tell the owner (I'm thinking it was your mom, Mark) and I had to stand there at the counter and tell people for 15 mins that I had stolen candy, that I was sorry and would never do it again.  

You theiving little sh*%.  I knew there was something about you I didn't trust.  I better go through my truck and make sure nothing's missing since you rode in it. hahaha!
