Well, she hasn't called me back. But I am in a rental car with unlimited milage soooo if I get there and she can  fit me in the morning then I'll just turn around and drive to EE.  I'll txt David and let him know because he is the only one I know a number for.

I'd heard he was sick, no idea how badly though. Found these pictures this morning. Not what you'd call a huge fan, but he seemed a stand up guy, and he was in Red Dawn.

I saw somewhere that he'd dropped to 105 lbs.  Course it was the Enquirer so that may need to be taken with a grain of salt.

with the tabloids you just never know!  I bet there are a bunch of women around Trina's age that loved them some PS.      

I hate to sound heartless, but since the Michael Jackson onslaught has resulted in the news NOT covering the deaths of several of our military men and women over the past few weeks, I just don't feel like giving too much time to another celebrity.  He was a good actor who did some great work, but in the end I prefer to honor those men and women who have chosen to serve this country and have given the ultimate sacrifice as part of that commitment.

Besides - it's my BIRTHDAY!  Let's have cake!

I agree with you Andy that the Men and Women in the armed forces don't get enough recognition for the work they do and when they have given the ultimate sacrifice it is indeed a tragedy.

With that being said, I don't think these forum topics are to bring on bad feelings of grief and anguish, but they are supposed to be uplifting and fun.  I don't think putting pictures of celebrities who have died on here is a shrine in memories of there death, we are just having fun.

I will participate in the celebrity mayhem. But I will continue to remember the people who have died for you and me.

I don't think I'll limit my sympathy for someone because the media does things a way I don't agree with. Mike is right. I didn't intend my pics posted to be a shrine, just topical as to what's happening in the world today.  As to the military members that have lost their lives, well, I don't think enough CAN be said. I also agree with Mike that this forum is specifically a place for us who are of a similar age to discuss things that had a cultural bearing on our impressionable teenage years. My time on the soapbox is now over.

did not know he was on MASH.  i remember all the girls talking about him on the civil war movie the North and the South!    As for this web page, too me its all about what is going on in the world today on a lighter side,  I hated the media coverage of MJ  I think what has been done for P.S. is about right so far!  As for the military I'm as Patriotic as they come for the men and women serving.  I wish there was more done for them but we can do is our part!  so next time you see a military person in uniform let them know how much you appreciate them.   I hate that Trina is leaving you guys!   I dont know how Mark has felt but i have felt like the kid who wanted to go to summer camp with the gang but his mom told him that there is no way she is going to let him out of her sight.

It has always been what we do on here.  We put military up on the holidays that celebrate them (Memorial Day, etc).  We just keep them in our thoughts and prayers the rest of the time. 

I thought Patrick Swayze was a good actor, but a good hearted person too.  Who could make fun of himself and his public persona by dancing with Farley.

That was easily one of the funniest skits ever on SNL, due in no small part to Swayze's playing it low key to Farley's over the top. Classic.

No kidding.  I also remember him on MASH.  I loved that show and the other day we were talking about TV shows on DVD.  I forgot I have a few seasons of MASH on DVD.  VERY funny show that had some teeth for dramatic story lines too.

Now although Swayze got nominated for a Razzie for Next of Kin, I remember really liking it when I watched it.
