RE: Afternoon Croakers & Midnight Tokers

This is a quiz for people who know everything.....

1. Name the one sport in which neither the spectators nor the participants know the score or the leader until the contest ends.

2. What famous North American landmark is constantly moving backward?

3. Of all vegetables, only two can live to produce on their own for several growing seasons. All other vegetables must be replanted every year. What are the only 2 perennial vegetables??

4. What fruit has it's seeds on the outside?

5. In many liquor stores, you can buy bear brandy, with a real pear inside the bottle. The pear is whole and ripe, and the bottle is genuine; it hasn't been cut in any way. How did the pear get inside the bottle?

6. Only three words in standard English begin with the letters 'dw' and they are all common words. Name two of them....

7. There are 14 punctuation marks in the English grammar. Can you name at least half of them?

8. Name the only vegetable or fruit that is never sold frozen, canned, processed, or cooked or in any other form except fresh.

9. Name 6 ormore things that you can wear on your feet beginning with the letter 's'.

WOW! 2010!!!

1. Boxing.

2. Niagara Falls. The rim is worn down about two and a half feet each year because of the millions of gallons of water that rush over it every minute.

3. Asparagus and rhubarb.

4. Strawberry

5. The pear grew inside the bottle. The bottles are placed over pear buds when they are small, and are wired in place on the tree. The bottle is left in place for the whole growing season. When the pears are ripe, they are snipped off at the stems.

6. Dwarf, dwell, and dwindle.

7. Period, comma, colon, semicolon, dash, hyphen, apostrophe, question mark, exclamation point, quotation marks, brackets, parenthesis, braces, and ellipses.

8.. Lettuce.

9.Shoes, socks, sandals, sneakers, slippers, skis, snowshoes, stockings.

Darnit - Mark beat me to the answers now nobody will ever believe I knew most of them - LOL

I thought someone would know the answer to MY question.  My avatar is Fang Face - he was the star of a Scooby Doo type cartoon on Saturday mornings.  He would turn into a werewolf whenever he saw a picture of the moon and turned back into a human when he saw a picture of the sun.  it was very cheesy.  I think he shared a saturday morning time slot with Plastic-man. I think the show lasted two years.

female werewolves?  hmmm...I seem to remember some very beautiful she-wolves in the Howling, but Im pretty sure they would not be suitable for avatars.

So what's tomorrow's theme?

Yee haw!

Ok, so last night I was talking to my oldest son, Jake, about his weight. I said so how much do you weigh now? He said I don't know.. about 130 I think. I said wow you will weigh more than me soon! To which he replied.... OOOhhh that's why dad put me in the heavy weight divison of wrestling!!!!

FYI: I didn't kill him.

WOW! 2010!!!

OMG - I just came from the motel where I used to work.  I swung through to get some mail I had there and was told that the person who replaced me as manager got fired.  The person who replaced him got suspended pending an investigation into something AND her husband was suspended as maintentance AND all the desk clerks but one were also suspended.  The owner brought his nephew in to run the place and he doesnt even speak good english - probably about 15% fluent in english - and cannot do basic math.  The nephew was going to work there before and screwed up so bad that the owner had him DEPORTED.  And now the owner is coming back to Pine Bluff to oversee things until they are running smooth and is going to have to cancel his plans for a four week vacation in Singapore AND wil not be able to get his money back.  On top of that they have lost many of the customers who left because of the way I was let go.  I'll bet he is seriously regretting the crap he pulled now and wishing he'd just paid me the raise instead of coming up with a load of BS to fire me.

But Im not bitter..nope...not at all.

LOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOL

Yee haw!
