Had an awesome day yesterday.  First off, I got rehired at the Kohler plant so I will have full time and overtime and much better than minimum wage hours.  Secondly, I got the decision on my unemployment claim and they sent me a lump sum of back payments.  Sadly, I have to refile to get part of that because my new claim period started in the middle, but I'm OK with that.  And lastly, I was just so happy over items 1 & 2 that I had a really great day and we celebrated by going out for barbeque at Nana's kitchen (formerly known as Essies, Charlies, Catherines, Carlas, etc)

And I got to sleep in today - how great is that?

My day keeps getting better - I learned that the owner has hired his fourth manager in four weeks since I got fired.  The NEW manager is the teenage son of the security guard who patrols the parking lot.  The kid was hired as a desk clerk and made manager four days later.  He is in for SUCH a surprise and a very quick change fo career.

And while all this manager shuffling is going on NONE of the work is getting done to keep the city from closing the place down AND the things I was doing to keep them off the owners back are no longer getting done as well SO I may get to see the place closed down or condemned after all.  I am tempted to call and tell the city to check the concrete for stress cracks where it is starting to sink on the southwest corner...I just have to figure out how to do it anonymously.

Funny thing is that if he'd waited two more weeks I would have given my notice anyway...we were working on a plan to get out of there.  I just needed onw more paycheck to buy the motor home we were looking at.  Sadly they sold it and we had to use the cash for day to day expenses until I could get a new job.

Well...I gots another day at the mall today so no playtime online.  Tomorrow I close so I'll get to pop in at least once, but then I gotta go to the employment security department and refile my claim because my original claim ended on October 3 and my new claim started on the 4th and they insist on my going through the process anew.  Its worth the effort for three more weeks of unemployment, but thank God I am going back to full time work on Monday.

No rain here today! WOW! It's quite amazing really... usually it's just cold and wet by this time of year. 

I have the kids making breakfast. French toast. Tomorrow I get to head to Portland for the weekend for a good friends wedding. Should be a blast 3 girlfriends and me on a road trip. Might even do some tax free xmas shopping. woo hoo!

Hey Trina, looks like it's just us girls today. Tax free, living in a commonwealth state we don't have tax free anything. I think they even have a Christmas tax.

Mark! Sorry about today. I ended up going shopping for a little black dress and some cute red high heel shoes to wear to the wedding.  Then I had to buy jewerly and a black wrap. It was a full day! But thanks to consignment shopping I got it all for under $40!! SWEEET! If Stacy were here she'd agree.  

Then when I got home... it work, work, work!

Hey everyone.  I have 2 tickets to the Sprint Cup race on 11/1 at Talladega if you or anyone you know is interested. Face value is $120 each, I'll take $100 each. They are in the lincoln tower up high so you can see just about everthing. 

OK..so I went to the employment security office to reaply for my unemployment benefits so I can get paid for the other three weeks I was off  HOWEVER when I entered that I was going to work on Monday it insisted that I provide documentation to PROVE I was going to be working or else they cannot process my claim.  I dont understand why they need PROOF of me going to work.  Is it like they are going to keep paying me even if Im working unless I can PROVE I am employed?  What a mess!

Monday morning....I'm on the way to Kohler for orientation...Its a new day, a new job, and a new beginning for me and my family...again...LOL

All that said, I will be unable to be here durign the day for a week or so, but I WILL check in when I get home in the afternoon.

And since its one week til Halloween and we havent done Mad Scientists yet I call the avatar of the day as MAD SCIENTISTS...And I will be - of course - Dr. Horrible...Wah hah hah hah haaaaa...(You gotta have a proper laugh...most villains neglect the laugh)

Rainy weekend here. I had a good trip to Portland for the wedding. It was beautiful. A little crazy... it was an outdoor wedding but it was a great spot! It was at the same place they filmed Twilight's prom scene. Lots of Edward pics.  It was crazy because it is end of October! No one does weddings outside in October in OR!!! But it went well it didn't rain! Froze our butts off though.

Glad you had a safe trip.  Sorry for the same avatar, but it has become too dificult to change them.  I may try and change it later, but I have been so busy the last two weeks and it doesnt seem to be slowing up much.  Went to a Halloween party over the weekend and had a blast.  Me and Leslie went as Ken and Barbie.  I will have to get some pics posted.

We have a Halloween party to go too Friday night. I still need to get the kids costumes together and something for me.  It is at our friends house and in their barn... it's usually pretty chilly in there even with the fire going. So, I have to pick something that is comfortable! The kids don't care they are usually outside roasting marshmellows and running around.

Mike,  please do i cant wait to see what the real Ken and Barbie look like!  Glad your friends wedding went good,   did you girls have your hen party?   would love to see those pics also!    any way I'm in and out due to work schedules catch you all later!

Haa no hen party! I love my friends that I rode down with but man... they didn't even want to stay for the dancing at the wedding. It was not quite 9pm and they were ready to leave.  One was in bed at the hotel by 10pm. The rest of us stayed up and talked about politics... blah.
