I've gotten several e-mails over the past week about some of you not being able to log in...If you have any problems just send me an e-mail and I will look into the problem...Please do not try logging onto the site using the new Google 'Chrome' web browser. I have had trouble everytime I have tried updating the site while using chrome. Thanks!!!

Anyone remember Tony Crump? His mother goes to our church and she mentioned that he died in a wreck in 1994. His picture is not in our senior annual but is in our junior annual. If anyone has additional info, I will add to the in memory page ASAP.

First and foremost I'm thankful I know the power of the Lord. I am very thankful for my husband and kids. I am thankful for my friends. I'm thankful that Joseph is doing great. I am thankful that God seen fit to spare my mother's life this past week (she was in the hospital for a week with heart blockage)(Please keep her in your prayers she rec. a quick fix and has a long road ahead, still serveral blockages that they can not fix right now). I'm thankful for this site and the good friends here. I'm thankful for this country (even though it seems we're going to heck in a handbasket) we still have freedom. And the list goes on and on and on and on.......

Lea Hedrick (Rentch)

Hi everyone. Just wanted you all to know that my family needs your prayers. Mom has been in the hospital, extremely ill and got to come home Saturday evening. That's a good thing. But, we also have some bad. Most of you probably remember my Granny, she passed away last night. She was 90 years old and at home. I'll be leaving early in the morning to be there with my family. Please pray for our travel. I miss all of you terribly. Life is short-- Love, Lea

Missy Ketchum (Warren)

Mandy, I am thinking of your mom, I am so sorry to hear about that. Why didn't you call me!! Anyway, HOPEFULLY I will see you soon! Tell your dad too! LOL! Gayla, I hope I am able to come, like I said 95% sure. I hope no one will be upset, ECSPECIALLY you & Mandy, if something happends and I am not able to! If everything works out and I am able to come I hope to see some fimilar faces there!!! Muah!

BTW Lea I am sorry to hear about your family as well, you are in my thoughts too!

Mandy Stewart (Skinner)

Lea so sorry to hear about Granny and your mom. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.

11/24/08 07:36 AM #414

Mandy Stewart (Skinner)

Missy - I didn't call you because I didn't want you to worry since you are in another state. She is doing better but they don't know if the balloon techn. is going to work since there is nothing to keep the plaque from spreading back into the vessel. But keep praying. She is attempting to go back to work today for a short period. I told her not to overdo it. Hope to see you soon. Love you!

Is she on Plavix? What about a drug eluting stent?

11/24/08 12:48 PM #416

Mandy Stewart (Skinner)

David
My mom has just been put on Plavix and they say that her vessel (where the blockage 85% is) was too small for a stent. Ultimately both her cardiologist and pcp thinks she may have to have open heart surgery.

11/24/08 02:05 PM #417

David Fort

...as in bypass? That's not bad. They are almost common place now (and almost outpatient). There of course are the risks associated with any surgery, but they do them all the time.

11/24/08 02:42 PM #418

Mandy Stewart (Skinner)

Yes bypass. She has 6-10 blockages that are 30-50% blocked (they are calcified) and several 20% blockages that they say are harder to fix. She has heart damage in all areas of her heart. Never had heart trouble before now so she is scared and I understand. But I told her with technology now days she'll be fine.

11/24/08 04:10 PM #419

David Fort

Calcification is not a good thing to have. The docs are on pins and needles with that b/c they could disect the vein easily. There could be problems with the veins in the legs or arms too. The ones they use to make the bypasses.

11/24/08 04:20 PM #420

Mandy Stewart (Skinner)

Yes, they say it just like having cement in her veins. But, with the correct diet and meds they say it will slow down. We will see. And they also found out that she has a mild case of emphysema (spelling)and she has gone from 2 packs of cigarettes a day to 5 ciagrettes a day and is working on quitting completely. But anyway this has been an eye opener for me as well since I am overweight and heart trouble runs in our family. So I am trying to cut back and change as well.

I hope everything turns out okay. Who is the cardiologist?

11/24/08 04:40 PM #422

Mandy Stewart (Skinner)

I hope so too. She is seeing Dr. Baxley in Benton. Dr. Baxley is working closely with Dr. Dau from St. Vincents. Thanks for the well wishes.
