Casper - Funeral Liturgy for Carmen Maurer, 29, will be celebrated at 10 am Wednesday at St. Anthony's Church by the Rev. Michael Carr. Cremation has taken place.

She died Oct. 23, 1999, at her home in Capser. She was born Sept. 30, 1970, in Powell, the daighter of Elvarista Gomez and Virgie Aragon Paloma. She married Russell Maurer on May 27, 1995 in Sheridan. She worked as a counselor in Casper at Transitional Housing.

She was a loving mother and wife and her children were the most important thing in her life, along with being a second mother to brothers, nephews, and nieces. She had even taken on the responsibility of a baby nephew, Gaige.

Survivors include her husband; a son, Jake; four daughters, Cassandra, Rashana, Nikki, and Felicia; her parents; a sister, Daisy; three brothers, Elvariste Jr, Carlos, and Adrian; and numerous other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her grandparents.
