May 8, 1949 - September 7, 2005

John F. Gill, 56, of Sidney, NY, passed away September 7, 2005 at Albany Medical Center with his family by his side. 

His life was taken rapidly by a rare and aggressive cancer. 

John was born May 8, 1949, son of the late Thomas and Elizabeth Gill, Sidney, NY.

He served his country in the United States Navy for four years after graduating from Sidney High School and worked for the Amphenol Corporation for 40 years.

He is survived by his two daughters, Jennifer Marshall, Manlius, NY and Julie Gill, San Diego, California; as well as his ex-wife and best friend, Susan Gill; and his pride and joy grandson, Nicholas Marshall.  He is also survived by his two brothers, Robert and David Gill and their families.

A gathering in celebration of John's life will be held at the First Congregational Church on Saturday, September 10, 2 to 4 pm.
