BAINBRIDGE - John "Jack" Tilley, 48, of Bainbridge, died unexpectedly Tuesday morning, Aug. 6, at The Hospital in Sidney.

He was born Jan. 23, 1948 in Sidney.  He was the son of the late Ray F. and Delia Haggerty Tilley.

On Dec. 20, 1975 he married Dorris Taylor in Unadilla.

He was a former employee of the Amphenol Corp. in Sidney.  He was also an avid sportsman, especially in hunting and fishing.

He is survived by his wife, Dorris M. Tilley of Bainbridge, two sons, Shaun and Matthew Tilley, both of Bainbridge; his sister and brother-in-law, Kathleen and Richard Hoyle, both of Oneonta; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

funeral services were held at 3 pm Thursday, Aug 8 at the C. H. Landers Funeral Chapel, 21 Main St. in Sidney. the Rev. Donald a Roberts Sr., pastor of the United Methodist Church in Sidney officiated. Burial followed in Evergreen Hill Cemetery, Unadilla.
