Dale Richard Wilson

May 5, 1949 - February 9, 2006

Dale Richard Wilson Choteau, MT, 56, died Thursday, Feb. 9, 2006 at the Teton Medical Center in Choteau, MT after a long illness.

Dale was born May 5, 1949 in Walton the son of Richard and Esther (Dow) Wilson.  He graduated from Sidney High School and received an associates's degree in computer system integration from the University of Great Falls.

He was a veteran of the US Naval Submarine Service, retiring ater 22 years, 4 months and 18 days of service.  He was a navigator on the SS-567 USS Gudgeon, the SS-N677 USS Drum, and the SSN280 USS William H Bates.

After his retirement from the military, he worked at  arious jobs in Choteau, including Christenson Construction, farming for Doug Ferries and as a mixologist at the Wagon Wheel.

Dale was married to Kat Carothers on May 12, 2000 in Great Falls.  He was previously married to and divorded from Corrine MacDonald, Geri Blevins and Carla J. Watt.

Dale was a member of the Choteau American Legion and was a past post commander.  He enjoyed hunting and fishing with his son-in-law.  He was a singer of songs, player of guitar and all around good-time guy.  Dale has greatly enjoyed playing guitar in many places for many people.

He is servived gy his wife, Kat wilson of Choreau; his mother, Esther Wilson, of Unadilla; daughters, Stephanie Spry of Sidney, Milissa (Joshua) Riphenburg, Amanda Carratt and Cheryl Marschner, all of Choteau; brothers, James (wife Karen) Wilson, of sidney and Rodney (Beth) Wilson of New Jersey and grandchildren Meahan, Veronica, Venessa, Even and Alex.;

Memorial Services were held at 11 am Wednesday, Feb. 15 at the United Methodist Church in Choteau

Cremation has taken place under the direction of Gorder Funeral Home.  Interment of his cremated remains with full military honors will be in the Choreau Cemetery.

A reception will be held at the United Methodist Church following committal rites at the cemetery.

Memorials are suggested to the C James Smith American Letion Post No. 6 in Choteau MT.
