Jim Ruane

December 2, 1948 - November 16, 1994

COOPERSTOWN -James M. Ruane, 45, of Milford, formerly of Sidney, died early Wednesday morning, Nov. 16, 1994 at Bassett hospital in Cooperstown.

He was born Dec. 2, 1948 in Pittston, Pa., a son of James and Helen (Shaughnessey) Ruane.

Following his graduation from Sidney High School in 1967, Jim attended Broome County Community College and graduated with a degree in accounting.  A resident of Sidney since 1966, he was fromerly employed by Allied signal, he then moved to Milford in 1986 and was employed by Bassett Hospital as a charge processor in the Finance Department.

Jim was a member of the Sacred Heart Church in Sidney.  He was also a ;member of several Irish organizations, was an avid music lover, and was very interested in politics.

He is servived by several cousins, as well as a close friend, Charles "Chuck" D'Imperio of Oneonta.

A graveside service was held 2 pm November 18, at the Prospect Hill Cemetery in Sidney with the Rev. Gordon Polenz, pastor of the Sacred Heart Church in Sidney, officiating.

There were no calling hours.

Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Ingalls, Cornell & Dow Funeral Home in Cooperstown.
