May 6, 1949 - August 24, 2008

Paul Weaver, 58, of Georgetown, Kentucky passed from this earth to his heavenly home on March 4, 2008.  He died at Jewish Hospital in Louisville, Kentucky of complications from Idiopathic Pulmonary Fibrosis.

For the past ten years, he served as the pastor of Mount Olivet Baptist Church in Mt. Olivet, Kentucky.  He also served as the Kentucky Director of Graduate Studies at Indiana Wesleyan University.  Paul was a gifted educator, leader, and communicator.  He had previously served in various roles with the state and federal government, especially in the mental health field.

He is survived by his wife of 38 years, Esther Wahlstedt Weaver.  Paul also leaves behind two sons, Andy Weaver and Wife Sara, and Mickey Weaver; four grandchildren Abby, Alex, Seth, and Samuel Weaver. Paul was preceded in death by his son, Marcus Weaver.

He is also survived by 12 brothers and sisters; Carol Wessels, Martha Phillips, David Weaver, Stephen Weaver, Esther Riewerts, Daniel Weaver, Michael Weaver, James Weaver, Debbie Lanston, Melody Lewis, Jonathan Weaver and Rachel Bassett.

He was preceded in death by his sister Mary Panchy, two infant brothers, and his mother and father, Rev. and Mrs. Arthur Weaver.

Funeral servides were held at Gano Baptist Church on March 8 at 10 am. Interment was in Barbourville, KY
