DONALD L. CURL, 67, of Sidney passed away Sunday, July 14, 2024 at 4:37 PM at Miami Valley Hospital. He was born on November 5, 1956 in Sidney, Ohio, the son of the late James Edward and Inez (Ludwig) Curl. On April 18, 1998, Donald married the former Lora Jones, who survives.

He is survived by daughter Shyanne (Lucas) Frierott of Sidney; five grandchildren with one on the way; six siblings, Ed (Nancy) Hamaker of Sidney, Jim (Teresa) Hamaker of Sidney, Carol (Kermit) Dorsey of Sidney, Joyce Spurgeon of Dayton, Jim Curl of Sidney and Marcella Hammer of Sidney. Donald was preceded in death by wife, the former Jackie Thornell, son, Jeremie Curl, two brothers, Bill (Carolyn) Curl and Bob Curl, two brothers-in-law, Ron Spurgeon and Kip Hammer and sister-in-law, Linda Curl.

Mr. Curl retired from Hydro-Extrusions North America as a CNC Machine Operator. Donald enjoyed riding his Harley Davidson, doing yardwork and going to garage sales. He liked to go to the Alcove with his daughter, Shyanne and out in public he did not know a stranger. His pride and joy were his grandchildren, which he loved spending time with.  Donald was of the Christian faith.  He was a Organ Donor in which he was able to help people in need.

A Memorial Service will be held Friday July 19, 2024 at 5 PM at Cromes-Edwards Funeral Home 302 S. Main Ave Sidney with Rev. Steve Edmiston officiating. Friends may visit from 3 PM until time of service at the funeral home.
