Carol Ann Fischbach, 60, of Sidney, passed away at 2 a.m. on Sunday, Oct. 1, 2017, at her residence.

She was born on Sept. 27, 1957, in Sidney, Ohio, the daughter of the late Carl and Rosalee (Buirley) McGlinch.

On Oct. 25, 1980, she married Michael Fischbach, who survives along with two children, Philip Fischbach and Maria Mertz, both of Sidney, three grandchildren, Gabrielle, Jackson and Athena, and two sisters, Diana (McGlinch) Nordstrom and Marguerite McGlinch.

Mrs. Fischbach was an administrative assistant with Catholic Social Services before retiring in 2016 after a long illness. Carol's love was for taking care of family and friends and helping the elderly stay in their homes through the agencies of the United Way of Shelby County and Catholic Social Services.

Carol was a member of Holy Angels Catholic Church where a Memorial Mass will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Monday, Oct. 9, 2017. Burial will follow at Graceland Cemetery.

Friends may call on Sunday from 1 to 3 p.m. at Cromes-Edwards Funeral Home, 302 S. Main Ave., Sidney.

Memorial contributions may be made to Catholic Social Services and Wilson Hospice in memory of Carol Fischbach.
