Sergeant David P. Rolls, 61, of Burlington, WV, died Friday, August 1, 2008 at the Braddock Campus of the WMHS, Cumberland, MD.

Born on March 16, 1947 at Washington, DC, he was a son of the late George Marcus and Betty Lucille (Pritchard) Rolls. He also was preceded in death by his stepfather, Samuel Thomas Rolls and two brothers; his infant twin, Stephen Michael Rolls and Harold Samuel Rolls.

Sgt. Rolls was employed with the Sheriff's Department of Mineral County, WV for 15 years and retired from the Baltimore City Fire Department, where he served as a paramedic. A Baptist by faith, he was a member of the Raymond E. Dawson Memorial Lodge, Fraternal Order of Police, the WV Deputy Sheriffs Association and the Mineral County Deputy Sheriffs Association. He was a proud life member of the National Rifle Association, where he held the status of Golden Eagle and was a certified firearms instructor. He was also a member of the American Sniper Association, Sports Car Club of America, Trout Unlimited and the Federation of Fly Fisherman. David was also very active in Scouting, and was an Eagle Scout.

Surviving are three brothers, Robert Warren Rolls and Richard Nathan Rolls, both of Silver Spring, MD and John Marcus Rolls of Poolesville, MD.
