Dear Randy, I am so sorry for your loss of Stephanie.  My heart and prayers go out for you and all of her dear family and friends.  Reading about Stephanie's full life, I was comforted to learn of her husband's faithfulness and care when she was in decline.  May God's peace and thanksgiving be with you all.  Bruce MacDonald '68

I met Stephanie only once during our high school years at Blair.  It was a brief encounter during our junior year. Alas, as we never had any classes together.  But I was very impressed during that brief encounter (she informed me that she was participating in the model UN, and taking French)...so much so that when I met Stephanie Simonard in Paris, in 1993, for a business meeting, I instantaneously recognized her.  I recall asking her, "Are you Stephanie Harmon?"  We both laughed.  On that occasion, Stephanie accepted my invitation to join the new Advisory Board of a business school, in Paris, where I had recently become dean.  For the next 4 or 5 years, Stephanie was always there, attending meetings on our campus and being a terrific positive force.  We were instant friends, and often lunched together along the Champs Elysees, where she had her law offices.  She was admitted to the French bar, an extremely exceptional achievement for an American in Paris.  She was always full of good humor when we met, generous, full of creative ideas, and a complete delight.  She gave her time freely to her role on our Advisory Board.  Stephanie did so much with her Blair education and was simply the best, as a human being and professional.  I am so sorry that she has left us.   Her family is in my thoughts.
